Car Detailing is a 30 Billion dollar Industry in the United States and is a relatively new trend in Asia, especially in India.

b) The consumers are much more aware of who is to be trusted and who not to, thanks to the internet and Social Media
A Consumer whether he/she owns a small or a big car has to be extra careful about this field but there are a few caveats that can help consumers not make expensive mistakes in having the wrong person detail the car and cause serious damage to the paint -
a) Make sure that the car detailer is not an individual but has a team on the ground
b) Make sure he/she is educated, paint protection is a serious and complicated procedure, anybody with intense training can do it, but it requires atleast some heavy duty technical knowledge to understand and apply, anybody saying "ho jayega" and "kar denge" is to be avoided
c) Stay away from local products, there is a thriving fake car care market in India and considering most car detailers are self proclaimed and have minimal experience in handling hi-end cars, they would by default use cheap and spurious materials which would earn them higher margins and when you would call them after a month, they would give you any silly reason as to why the paint faded or spots appeared all over the car body
